Gianni Francesetti 

Psychiatrist (trained by his Mentor Eugenio Borgna to phenomenological psychiatry) and Gestalt therapist (trained at the Istituto di Gestalt HCC, Dir. Margherita Spagnuolo Lobb and Giovanni Salonia). Adjunt Professor, Turin University, Dep. of Psychology, International trainer and supervisor, he has widely published on psychotherapy and psychopathology, exploring original approaches to understanding clinical suffering from a phenomenological and Gestalt therapy viewpoint and proposing new ways for framing particular clinical disorders (including experiences of panic, depression, psychosis, and obsessive-compulsive disorder). He is President of Poiesis. Gestalt Therapy Center of Torino and co-Director of the IPsiG (International Institute for Gestalt Therapy and Psychopathology). He is Past President of the EAGT (European Association for Gestalt Therapy), of the SIPG (Italian Society for Gestalt therapy) and of the FIAP (Italian Federation of Psychotherapy Associations), where he is the Chair of the Committee for Psychotherapist’s Competences. Member of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (AAGT), the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP), and the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR). He lives and works in Turin, Italy.

Gianni Francesetti

Psichiatra (di formazione fenomenologica, allievo di Eugenio Borgna) e psicoterapeuta della Gestalt (formatosi all’Istituto di Gestalt HCC, Direttori Margherita Spagnuolo Lobb e Giovanni Salonia). Trainer e supervisore internazionale, ha pubblicato numerosi testi sui temi della psicoterapia e della psicopatologia, esplorando le possibilità di comprendere la sofferenza clinica da un punto di vista fenomenologico e gestaltico (in particolare le esperienze di panico, depressive, psicotiche e ossessivo-compulsive). È presidente di Poiesis, Centro Torinese di Terapia della Gestalt, e co-direttore dell’Istituto Internazionale di Psicopatologia e Psicoterapia della Gestalt. È Past President dell’EAGT (European Association for Gestalt Therapy), della SIPG (Società Italiana Psicoterapia Gestalt) e della FIAP (Federazione Italiana delle Associazioni di Psicoterapia), dove è Coordinatore della Commissione per le Competenze dello psicoterapeuta. Membro del NYIGT (New York Institute dor Gestalt Therapy), dell’AAGT (Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy), dell’EAP (European Association of Psychotherapy), della SPR (Society for Psychotherapy Research). Vive e lavora a Torino.
